Zeager Playground Surfacing

Zeager has been supplying renewable products since our beginning in 1967 as a wood mill. Today we have nothing to do with lumber but focus on taking renewable or recovered materials and converting them into beneficial products. Our WoodCarpet playground surface is made from clean wood that can’t be made into lumber. Our ZeagerMulch is a beautiful landscape mulch made from green waste and post-consumer wood waste. Our RecBase and DuraDrain are made from recovered closed cell foam for use as drainage and impact attenuating base layers on recreation areas. And as environmental building standards took shape here in North America, Zeager worked with a leading green roof manufacturer to test and tweak DuraDrain for use as a recovered foam drainage and protection layer on green roofs. Recently Zeager has been pursuing a wind farm on some of its land so that the wind can be harnessed to provide clean, renewable and domestic energy. Since our beginning, green has been more than just the color of our logo!
