Zeager began doing business in 1967 as a family-owned saw mill manufacturing various products for the wood industry. By the early 70's Zeager was looking for ways to use bark piles that were left over from debarking the logs that were being manufactured for lumber. After learning this product could be used for landscaping, getting rid of the bark piles was never a problem since. Zeager is no longer a sawmill and is now one of the largest mulch producers on the east coast utilizing post consumer wood products and pre-consumer wood to manufacture compost mulches and color enhanced mulches for the landscape industry. We serve PA, DE, NJ and MD from our Pennsylvania location and KY and TN from our Kentucky location. Our customers include schools, municipalities, military bases and retail centers.
